As an associate, Chris works in general practice across multiple areas of law. Chris’s areas of concentration include housing court litigation and probate court proceedings. Beyond these concentrations, Chris has worked on a variety of subject matter, from personal injury and medical malpractice claims to public liability and zoning disputes.
Prior to joining Susman, Duffy & Segaloff, Chris served as a temporary assistant clerk at the New Haven Superior Court, serving numerous judges in the day-to-day operations of the court, including consistent placement on the civil protection order (CPO) and hearings in damages dockets, as well as at all stages of civil trial procedure. He additionally worked as a legal assistant in a firm focused on probate and transactional matters, where he aided clients on matters ranging from estate planning and trust creation to real estate closings.
Chris graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law (2022). At Quinnipiac, Chris was a Dean’s Scholar and participated in the flagship run of the university’s Elder Law Laboratory. He also graduated summa cum laude from Fairfield University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in English. At Fairfield, he was a Magis Scholar and served as the Editor in Chief of the student-run literary magazine, as well as in numerous student leadership positions. It was also at Fairfield that Chris became a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Tau Delta honor societies.
“Chris is admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the New Haven County Bar Association. A lifelong Connecticut native, Chris has lived in the greater New Haven area for six years, variably in Hamden, Branford, and New Haven proper. Before beginning his legal career, Chris worked in the areas of digital publishing and library sciences, including serving as a staff member at the local library in his childhood hometown of Naugatuck. In his spare time, he maintains a passion for speculative fiction, creative writing, and tabletop gaming.
